This sound library is all about bicycle sound effects that can be used in its original form or for sound design, and/or music production purposes.

HOW DID WE RECORD THESE SOUND EFFECTS 🤔

I put several road bikes on the bike stand and recorded following sound effects:

• mechanical movements by hand
• pedaling while the wheel is in the air
• different speed
• using brakes
• shifting gears front and back
• using a pencil and hold it against the spokes
• attaching and taking off bikes from stand
• releasing air and pumping air in tires with a foot pump
• folding and unfolding bike stand

We filmed the process of me recording sound effects on various road bikes. The oldest bike is from 1960!

WHAT DID WE RECORD IN SINGAPORE 🎙️

We were able to record the sound of one of the numerous yellow city bikes before the city decided to remove them all. 

• locking and unlocking the lock with an app
• horrible squeaking brakes
• pushing the bike in a tunnel
• simulating accident
• bell
